What is Plique à jour?

This rare enameling technique requires the artist to layer enamel without a backing, within a wireframe. This gives the jewelry an unmatched look of miniature stained glass.

What is Cloisonné?

This enameling technique requires the artist to build a wire framework on a backing. Layer upon layer, the framework is filled in and fired, giving the jewelry the look of a fine miniature painting.
